Research Database

9web is currently building a melanoma research database for the MSG. There have been many attempts to do this before, and all have failed to some extent.

Professor Martin Gore has suggested that we keep the dataset simple, with responsibility for accuracy lying with the PI or CI for multicentre studies. The key will be to keep it up to date - 9web has agreed to contact the 12 biggest centres in the UK at periodic intervals to ensure this.

I have suggested that there should be 2 databases - one for trials which are already actively recruiting, and one for proposals in progress to stimulate collaboration. MSG members will be able to post details online, with approval required from the MSG committee before it goes live.
